All participants must be at least 18 years old.
All time slots are coed, each team must play with at least one female on the court at all times.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • How many games do we play a night?: Each 2-hour time slot is a double header, where you will play one match against one team, best 2 out 3 games, in the first hour. Then you will play another team, best 2 out of 3 games, in the second hour.
  • How many games will I play this season?: Each team can expect to play around 11 matches, depending on your team's success in the tournament and weather permitting.
  • How many players can be on a team?: Each team can have up to a maximum of 6 players on the court at a time, with at least one female on the court at all times. However, you can have more than 6 players on your roster that can rotate into play in between rallies. You can also have less than 6 players on the court, but one female player must still be on the court at all times.
  • Will there be a final tournament?: There will be a final, single-elimination tournament on the final week of the season. Show up at your normal day and time. We will be present to coordinate the tournament.
  • Will you be keeping track of standings?: Standings will be tracked throughout the season and will be used to seed placement in the season finale tournament. Team captains will receive an email after each match with a link for them to upload their team's wins and losses.
  • What is an intermediate league?: Intermediate leagues are offered during both Thursday time slots. These leagues are intended for higher levels of play. You may expect more coordinated teams, harder hits and serves, and a more competitive environment.
  • What should I bring?: Volleyballs and scorecards will be provided. Bring weather appropriate attire. It is also advised to bring sunscreen. During the summer months, the sand can get really hot, so some players like to wear "sand socks" as protection.
  • What court do I play on?: Check the schedule for your team's court assignment. The schedules for the entire season will be available on the website.
  • What do I do when I arrive?: Report to your team's court assignment at the designated time. Balls are available and free to use but must be checked-out from the staff by providing your ID card. Please plan to start playing at the designated time to avoid running over time into other time slots.
  • What score do we play to?: Each match is best 2 out of 3 games. Each game is played to 21 points. However, you must win with a 2-point lead or be the first team to reach 25 points. If the match goes to the third tie-breaker game, the third game is only played to 15 points, and the first team to get 15 points wins.
  • How long is each match?: Each match is given 60 minutes to play best 2 out of 3 games. If the match is running close to the start of the next time slot, end the game and the team with the most points wins. In the case of a tie, play one final point, last point wins. Please note that the facility is legally obligated to turn off the stadium lights at 10pm so you must finish all matches by then.
  • What are the coed rules?: Each team must play with at least one female on the court at all times.
  • Are children allowed to play?: No. All participants must be at least 18 years old to play.
  • Will we play during inclement weather?: If we have to cancel due to inclement weather, an email will be sent out to the teams. We will try to reschedule games in the weeks immediately after the season. If there are too many inclement weather days, and the rescheduling runs into the following season, refunds will be issued for the prorated amount per game, per team.
